~3 on School~ Tests and Tryouts
A few days ago in Science we had a big project coming up, and so my friends and I, were in the same group so were really excited! The project was that we had to make a house that was cooler on the inside than the outside air. So we all got supplies, and built a really cool house and we had to test it on Friday. Turns out we did the complete opposite of what we were supposed to do and we made the inside of the house hotter than the outside air!! We were so confused it was really funny!!🤣🤣
Our chinese teacher is super vauge. She posts stuff on our class page but she never tells us what it is or when to check, so last week we had an impromptu test and hse only told us a day before the test! We were all so confused but she said “I posted it so long ago!!” And when we went to the page to check, it was nearly at the bottom!! So we had to cram and take the test (thankfully it was easy :)
We also have a math test coming up (at least we were notified about that)! So on Friday it was just revision day and everyone was working together to solve questions and it was actually serious. But there are always those few kids in class who think everythings a joke and they were asking questinos like “How many millimeteres is in a centimetere again?”🥸😭😭🤣🤣
~2 on Family~ The Rink
The best ice skating place in Singapore, The Rink, is closing because the whole mall is being demolished😭! So on Friday, my Brother and my best friend and I (with our Moms of course) went to The Rink to skate there one last time! I brought a really fluffy jacket because I thought that it would be super cold, but it wasn’t! My brother who hasn’t been ice skating in a long time could do spins and it was so cool!🎉🎉
After that we came home, ate pizza and watched A Cinderella Story, it’s basically Cinderella but set in the modern world and it’s super funny! So worth the watch! Even though my best friend fell asleep near the end I still finished the movie then woke her up :) In case you think you’ve seen the actor somewhere… he’s the one from Freaky Friday!!
~1 on World~ Second unidentified object shot down
A US fighter jet acting on the orders of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shot down an unidentified object over Canada yesterday in a joint operation by the North American neighbours and the second such take-down in their skies since the drowning of a suspected Chinese spy balloon a week ago.
"Canadian and US aircraft were scrambled, and a US F-22 successfully fired at the object," Trudeau tweeted on Saturday.
Trudeau said that Canadian forces in the Yukon "will now recover and analyse the wreckage of the object".
~SONG OF THE WEEK~
No Shame By 5 Seconds of Summer. It’s so catchy and vibey!!~
~FACT OF THE WEEK~
Most people know dolphins have incredible sonar abilities. But did you know they were studied as war tools during the Cold War? They really are as smart as people say they are. Countries studied the creatures for their sonar capabilities, but also trained them to detect mines, bring equipment to divers, find lost equipment, and guard submarines. That’s really cool that they can do that!
