Panicking and Predictions, Loki, Riding on eggs and bacon, and Good 4 U
A weekly newsletter from an 11 year old trying to balance school, parents, activities & the world…and of course, homework. An honest description of how I see the world.
~3 on School~ Panicking and Predictions
When good 4 u came out, (go to song of the week section) it was all anyone could talk about! People in my class were making the most cringy comments! But there’s always that one person in your class that has no idea what’s going on in the world. So when the time came for that person to speak up, everyone just stared. And stared. And started till the teacher was like “what happened?” then since nobody wanted to make that person feel embarrassed, everybody switched off their microphone and didn’t talk. It was soooo funny🤣😂😄🤣!! Then after the class call, that person called me and was like, “what’s that song? Who’s that person you guys keep talking about? What’s this about??😂
In online learning, the teachers give us a very simple and easy schedule. Lots of people complain that “there’s too little work!” or “there’s barley anything!” But personally, I think it’s fine! We have calls for a few classes, but for most we don’t. So one day my friends and I were talking and doing some work together on a call, and we realised that like, 2 years ago (2019), would you even believe that if someone told you that there’s gonna be this huge outbreak of a disease all around the world and it’s going to change your life forever?!? Then we realised, we wouldn’t. This happened because we read an article about this fortune-teller guy who predicted that this would happen!!?! HOW?🤯🤯
On Thursday, our teacher told us to bring something tomorrow (Friday) that represents your family or something important to you. Except, she sent that message at like 7pm! So I didn’t see that until 8:55 in the morning, 5 minutes to go until our class call and I was panicking. So then I quickly went to my board, and there’s no photo of my whole family together, because I haven’t finished it yet. By then I had to join the call, so I just switched off my microphone and camera. *still panicking* I was next on the list she was calling out. Everyone was just showing a photo of their siblings or family on their other devices or photos. Then I remembered! My iPad! So then I swivelled around to get my iPad, but I wasn’t there!!😯 So then I had to go outside and find it! It turns out, that it was above my desk the whole time🤦♀️
~2 on Family~ Loki and the Avengers
Since we’re mostly inside, there’s not a lot to say. It’s really just the usual. Oh but today we watched the new episode of Loki that realised earlier in the week. Every week a new episode come on Wednesday, and there’s going to be six episodes. It’s really interesting (and weird)😄 I think that it’s not for little kids with short attention spans, because my brother got really bored, but I found it really interesting!!
Speaking of Loki, the episodes start from a moment in Avengers: Endgame, from when Loki steals the Tesseract (a special cube thing) and then I thought that it’s been so long since I have heard anyone say or even just mention the Avengers. They used be such a big thing, and now nobody talks about them. It’s kinda weird now that I think about it🤨
~1 on World~ Riding on eggs and bacon
A skatepark that looks like a frying pan filled with bacon and eggs has opened in Washington. The breakfast themed design was made by a local artist John Hillding. The park features a ramp made to look like a of bacon and two humps modelled on fried eggs. It was going to include a spatula as well but that was too expensive. The reaction to this type of park has been increasingly positive and people are loving it! I would really like to go there one day!
~SONG OF THE WEEK~
Lately all anyone can talk about is the latest singing sensation, Olivia Rodrigo, who has put out a number of songs that are super popular! My favourite song is Good 4 U.
~FACT OF THE WEEK~
A single sneeze travels 100 miles per hour and shoots 100,000 germs into the air. EW!! Is a sneeze like a secret defense mechanism our body has and uses when we feel threatened? Oh my god what if that’s true?? Now I will never sneeze the same way again….😳
