~3 on School~ Scams, Smashes & Darth Vader
I’m in G5, and we have 6 weeks left of primary school, and then middle school’s coming. So every year, the G5’s have this thing called Expo. It’s when you research a particular topic (environmentally based) and write an essay about it, make a huge infographic about it, and present it with your group in front of your friends and family. So the teacher was going to tell us our groups on Thursday, but then decided to tell us on Friday. So we waited in suspense for SO LONG…. then…….we got an email (cue dun Dun DUN!) In the email was our groups, but one of my friends texted me and asked (these exact words) “Did you get your expo group on gmail or did the others just scam me?” (others being our other friends) and she actually thought it was fake!!!🤣🤣
Today I had a birthday party (it was a party of the same girl who thought she got scammed) and it was AMAZING!! We went to Bounce and just bounced around the highest trampolines for half an hour, but then we went to the X-park, where we (since we were 6 kids) played like we were in war, 3 against 3, and it was so funny! Because when my team and I were running, I was in the lead except I didn’t see this huge transparent wall in front of me and I bashed right into it!😁
Another funny thing that happened is that to get ready for our real expo, we had to do a mock one about chocolate. The production of chocolate is actually really bad, it include horrible things like child labor, enslavment, deforestation, underpaid families, unclean water etc. Anyways we had to make this HUGE board and like post information about chocolate on the board. IT TOOK TWO HOURS!! Then finally the last thing we had to do is decide a title, so then my group decided to name it The Dark Side of Chocolate…….and we put a picture of Darth Vader on the side!! Get it? Dark Side?? Darth Vader!! 😁😁🤣🤣
~2 on Family~ Trampoline parks~
Bounce is a trampoline park in Singapore and its really fun! There are like a million trampolines, and different types too! There’s also the X-park inside bounce (which we went to) which is basically an obstacle course with a lot of variety. Whenever you are free or bored, go Bounce!
Another trampoline park in Singapore is Amped, which is more on different types of trampolines rather than bounces which has trampolines galore! Its really fun and diverse, but people prefer Bounce. I like both and recommend both to anyone.
~1 on World~ India out of oxygen🌬
I haven’t written about Covid a lot lately, because there isn’t really anything to report about it! But now, India was suddenly hit with a fresh second wave of Covid. Last year, the World Health Organization recommended countries needed to get the positive test rate below 5% for at least two weeks before considering easing restrictions. The rate in India is now around 20%. In total, India has confirmed more than 18 million infections and 200,000 deaths. Now many patients' families are forced to drive for miles to try to find a bed for their loved one. In Delhi - a region of about 20 million people - hospitals are full and are turning away new patients. "We have been roaming around for three days searching for a bed," one man told Reuters news agency as his wife sat immobile on the pavement. Hospitals across India are also experiencing oxygen shortages, with some forced to put up signs warning of a lack of supplies. The country now has the greatest demand for oxygen out of all other low, lower-middle and upper-middle-income countries, according to the PATH Oxygen Needs Tracker.
